EARTH DIVAS
Since 2004, Earth Divas has partnered with skilled artisans in Nepal to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind accessories, each handcrafted with care and purpose. Our mission goes beyond selling products—we are committed to empowering communities and promoting sustainable trade. As proud members of the Fair Trade Federation, we prioritize ethical practices, ensuring fair wages and sustainable materials throughout our process. Our collections feature only natural fibers—avoiding synthetics and leather—while showcasing artisanal craftsmanship through seasonal designs released twice a year. Every product embodies the authenticity of Nepalese heritage, combined with a modern, conscious design. At Earth Divas, we take fair trade a step further. Our profits—100% of them—are returned directly to the artisans in cash payments, helping them build better lives for their families. We operate without a middleman, fostering personal connections with our artisans and ensuring that they receive direct compensation for their work. To keep our prices accessible for buyers, we manage costs by shipping via sea, and our founder, Ed Edmundson, operates without drawing a salary. Our small business works to ensure that every purchase from Earth Divas benefits both consumers and artisans.

DUNITZ & COMPANY
The seeds for Dunitz & Company were planted in 1989 when founder Nancy Dunitz visited Guatemala for the first time. “I had been employed in finance for several years at the movie studios,” notes Nancy. “I was longing to explore the world and focus on my creative side. A vacation took me to Guatemala and I’ve been working there ever since.” During the early stages of Dunitz & Company, Nancy met two artists who introduced beading techniques to a few Mayan women. She began collaborating with these creative women, and soon a viable and sustaining business was born. “We were on the ground floor,” comments Nancy. “Beading was a new medium in Guatemala and by creating fashion-forward designs, I knew I could also create demand.” In 2011, Dunitz & Company introduced the Joanie M collection, named to honor Nancy’s mother. This beautiful fused-glass jewelry line is also handmade in Guatemala. The line was born when Nancy saw tremendous potential in the glass work of a local artisan named Rosa and began collaborating with her. The colorful collection of jewelry they developed has delighted many of our customers and created a sustainable business for Rosa and her staff.

KAMIBASHI
Kamibashi owners Kristen and Chris Daniels started Kamibashi (Japanese for "paper bridge") while teaching English to university students in Kyoto, Japan. A few months before moving to their new hometown of Asheville, NC in 2005, they read a story in an English language magazine about string dolls while they were having breakfast at a café in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Curious to see these small string creatures in person, they headed to the night market that evening, and the rest is history! Fifteen years later, Kamibashi is still going strong. What started as a group of 15 string doll characters has grown to over 250, most of which are designed together with the leaders of the two string doll groups we have been working with since the very beginning. Kristen, Chris, and the Kamibashi team never fail to be amazed by the creativity of their string doll artisans and their ability to make pretty much anything and anyone out of string.

SILK ROAD BAZAAR
Silk Road Bazaar is a wholesale representative of marginalized artist groups located in Central Asia. We connect with artists who are far from the capitals, who have limited market access, who do not possess modern marketable skills but have carried on traditional craft culture. Following the proverb, ‘the best way to know a man is to walk a thousand miles in his shoes,’ we believe that to know who we are working with and to understand their lives, we ourselves need to live like and with them. We live amongst our artist groups for an extended period of time. During that time we help them become self-sustainable by developing their designs, management techniques, quality control and computer skills. All designs and collaborations are original works of Central Asian artists and Silk Road Bazaar.

AID THROUGH TRADE
Aid Through Trade is a Founding Member of the Fair Trade Federation. Aid Through Trade empowers women by creating opportunity through beautifully designed jewelry. While teaching in the late '80s as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal, Damian Jones became inspired by the artisans of the Kathmandu Valley and intrigued by the use of glass beads in the Nepalese culture. Damian visited many artisans and artisan groups in various regions of Nepal, and observed the artisans as they created unique jewelry designs. Damian recognized that although the designs varied from place to place, there was one undeniable constant across all villages: Women’s lives changed dramatically when they had an income. Upon his return to the United States, Damian began to conceptualize the idea of working with artisans in a fair, dignified manner as a way to improve their lives. Damian quickly realized that if he were going to succeed in a global marketplace, he would need to emphasize continual design and re-design. After traveling back to Nepal numerous times, Damian actualized his vision in 1993, founding Aid Through Trade, a fashion design company with ethics, and introducing to the world for the first time to The Original Roll-On® Bracelet.
